Monday Market Report Mar 4 – Mar 10, 2019

The number is 4! That’s right, four-weeks in a row that I’ve seen double-digit home sales in the Penticton marketplace. In total, we had 15 residential properties change hands this week versus 16 homes the prior week. Total value of these fifteen transactions was just over $5.6 million, compared to $5.7 million the week prior. The highest priced sale was a single family home in Naramata which sold for more than $900,000. The variance between list price and actual sales price was 97%. This percentage continues to stay strong, and always between 96% & 98% every week. I still believe that the housing market is positioned in the “buyers” favour at this point in time, but WILL shift to a “sellers” market with a few more weeks of solid sales!
