Monday Market Report July 8 – July 14, 2019

ANOTHER HUGE WEEK FOR HOME SALES HERE IN PENTICTON! In total, 27 homes changes hands this past week. That’s a 33% increase in sales (18 homes sold the prior week) in just one week, AND, one of the strongest sales week’s of the year this far!  The total retail value of these 27 transactions was just over $11.3 million dollars, compared to $9.5 million the prior week. The highest priced sale was a Single Family Home in the Naramata region which sold for more than $980,000. The variance between list price and actual sales price was 96% this week….this is closer to our yearly average of 97%. We are firmly locked into a “balanced” housing market in Penticton…..…but I believe that the underlying trend is moving in the direction of buyers. It really is a great time to be buying a home in the South Okanagan! Here’s the breakdown of sales for this past week (July 8th to July 14th):
