Not too near and not too far might be the perfect way to describe Penticton’s K-Streets neighbourhood. This well-established community of classic homes is an oasis of quiet, not far outside Penticton’s downtown core. Quaint homes line shady tree-lined streets — you might even find a white picket fence or two.
Three parks offer a variety of recreational opportunities. Spring through fall, you can play tennis on the courts in McLaren Park, which also has baseball fields and an arena for minor hockey and public skating in the colder months.
If you’re looking for a more natural experience, a linear park running alongside Penticton Creek offers a well-maintained trail for walk through the woods. Grocery shopping is as nearby as Government Street, which also leads you into downtown Penticton for boutique shops, fabulous restaurants and entertainment.
