A PRETTY QUIET WEEK IN THE CITY OF PENTICTON AS WE ROLL INTO 2026!

Penticton’s real estate market this past week saw 3 homes successfully sold. While this represents a quieter pace compared to last week’s 7 sales and 6 sales during the same period last year, the current market dynamics are creating favorable conditions for buyers. With 8 new listings coming to market this week, buyers do have an expanding selection of properties to consider and can take their time making thoughtful decisions without the pressure of competing offers. For the most selective buyers, this balanced environment provides an opportunity to find the right home at the right price.

Highlight of the Week: A beautiful Single-Family Home in the Wiltse/Valleyview neighbourhood sold for more than $2 million dollars. Overall, buyers secured homes at an average of 96% of the asking price, with not one of the 3 properties selling at or above the listing price.

Inventory Check: There are currently 302 properties (of all types) available in Penticton today. That’s down from 425 Properties in January 2025. This is a 29% decline in inventory versus last year and has become a consistent trend in my year-over-year analysis. This is definitely a key sign of a shift in the market dynamics.

Listing Activity: Over the past month, 48 properties have entered the Penticton market, offering buyers an enhanced variety of homes to choose from.
