I THINK IT’S SAFE TO SAY THAT THE HOLIDAY SEASON IS NOW OFFICIALLY UPON US!
JUST 10 properties SOLD in PENTICTON this past week, that’s DOWN 5 sales (15) from the previous week, and DOWN 3 home sales (13) from the same week one year ago. The highest priced transaction was a single-family home on the South side of the city which sold for more than $650k. The difference between the average listing price and the average negotiated sales price this past week ended up at 96%, with 2 just of the 10 properties selling “AT OR OVER” their stated listing price. Our current Inventory levels hover around 331+ homes (of all types) “For Sale” right now compared to 139 homes this time last year. That’s an increase in inventory year over year of 138%. We are now into our SIXTH straight month where inventory levels are higher than the previous year. Based on our NOVEMBER month-end stats, we have landed back into a “BUYERS” housing market.
Here are the SALES by property type for the 10 properties SOLD this past week (Dec. 5 – Dec. 11). Breakdown is as follows:
- 1 Mobile Home
- 1 Townhome
- 3 Single Family Homes
- 5 Condos
There were 14 NEW LISTINGS that hit the market last week (Dec. 5 – Dec. 11). Breakdown is as follows:
- 1 Lot
- 1 Half-Duplex
- 2 Townhomes
- 4 Condos
- 6 Single Family Homes
