Monday Market Report January 11 – 17, 2021

A LIGHTNING FAST START TO 2021!….BUYER’S ARE VERY MOTIVATED AND SELLERS ARE WINNING!

In total, we sold another 21 homes this week, up 1 sale from the week prior. The TOTAL value of these home purchases was just over $12 million dollars compared to 7.5 million the week prior. The highest priced sale was a condo on the North side of Penticton which sold for more than $1,700,000 dollars. The difference between the listing price and actual sales price for the week ended up at 96%, which is two percentage points lower than last week’s sales ratio of 98% – which was just an anomaly based on one of the home sales which sold substantially lower than the actual listing price. Today’s housing market is still very much tilted towards SELLERS as there continues to be a tremendous amount of DEMAND with very little SUPPLY.
