Penticton’s Real Estate had another SOLID WEEK: 17 Sales & 41 New Listings Hit The Market!
This week delivered 17 new home sales in Penticton – that’s only down 3 sales from last week’s 20, but surpassing last year’s 11 sales by six homes for the same time period! We also had 41 new listings hit the market – buyers have great options to find their perfect match.
The highlight of the week? A Single-Family Home in the North area of Penticton that sold for more than $1.4 Million Dollars. On average, buyers managed to secure properties for 95% of the listing price, with none of the 17 homes selling at or above their asking price.
Inventory Watch: Currently, there are 515 properties (of all types) available for sale, compared to 530 listings in September 2024. This is now an emerging trend where the inventory levels have been on par (or lower) with that of 2024. Is the market shifting?
New Listings Surge: Over the past 30 days, 152 new properties have hit the market, giving buyers even more options to explore and choose from.
Pro Tip for Buyers: The window of opportunity is still open – but will it narrow in the coming weeks? With the Bank of Canada reducing the key lending rate by 25-basis points, fresh listings expanding buyer choice, and demand driving homes off the market in mere days, the pace is accelerating. Waiting even a couple of months could bring back multiple offer situations, higher prices, or watching your dream home disappear. Want to win in this market? Step in with confidence. Make your move now!17 SALES by property type for the homes SOLD this past week (Sept. 15 – Sept. 21). Breakdown is as follows:
