Monday Market Report April 27, 2026 – May 3, 2026

Penticton Real Estate: 17 Sales, 44 New Listings, Fresh Inventory, New Opportunities!

Seventeen sales closed in Penticton last week – a slight dip from the 22 recorded the week prior, and four fewer than this time last year. At the same time, 44 new listings entered the market, adding to an inventory that’s already giving buyers something they haven’t had in years: genuine choice and the time to use it. If you’ve been waiting for conditions that feel manageable, this is that moment. For sellers, that doesn’t mean stepping back, it means stepping in with a clear strategy. The right buyers are active, and well-priced, well-presented homes are moving.

Highlight of the Week: A Single-Family Home that sold for $1.9 Million on the South side of Penticton. A reminder that quality and location still command serious money. Across all 17 sales, buyers paid an average of 95% of asking price, with three properties selling at or above list.

Inventory Check: Penticton currently has 461 active properties across all categories, DOWN from 566 this time last year. That a 22% increase in available inventory, a pattern that has been showing up consistently in the data over the past couple of months and is worth watching as we move deeper into spring.

Listing Activity: 153 New properties have entered the Penticton market over the past 30 days. This is a healthy injection of fresh inventory that’s giving buyers real variety and creating some compelling options across all price points. Pro Tip for Buyers: This is one of those markets that rewards clarity and confidence. You have inventory to choose from, time to think, and real negotiating room – a combination that doesn’t come around often. Spring activity is building, and windows like this one don’t stay open indefinitely. Buyers who move now, with intention and a solid plan, tend to be the ones who look back and feel they got it exactly right.
