Monday Market Report August 2 – August 8, 2021

AND INTO AUGUST WE GO – WITH A SEASONAL START FOR THE FIRST FULL WEEK!

21 properties sold in the first full week of August in the Penticton region, that’s 6 DOWN from the week prior, but UP 1 sale for the same week in August 2020. The TOTAL value of these 21 transactions was just over $18 million dollars compared to $16 million a week ago. The highest priced sale was a Single-Family Home on the North side of Penticton which had a price tag of more than $2.7 million dollars. The difference between the listing price and actual sales price for the week was 99%. In total, 13 of the 21 homes sold this week were “AT OR OVER” the listing price. Sales volumes continue to stay “SEASONAL”, but the “Average Selling Price” tells me that SELLERS are still in control of this housing market.
