Penticton’s Week in Numbers: Sales Cool, Listings Hold Steady – But Well-Priced Homes Still Move!

The Week in Numbers: 11 homes sold in Penticton this week, down 10 sales from last week, and down 8 sales from this time last year, while 22 new listings landed, keeping inventory steady with no big swings either way, so buyers still have plenty to choose from. Sellers, this is your moment: price it right, show it well, and it moves – the market’s sharpening up, not slowing down.

Highlight of the Week: A single-family home on the Wiltse/Valleyview neighbourhood of Penticton sold for more than $1 million. Across all 11 transactions, buyers paid an average of 97% of asking, with 2 of the properties selling at or above the list price.

Inventory Watch: Penticton currently holds 462 active listings across all categories, down from 544 a year ago. That’s a 15% year-over-year decline in inventory, and it isn’t a one-week wobble; it’s a pattern that’s been quietly building for the past four months.
