     PENTICTON EMBRACES HOLIDAY CHEER: REAL ESTATE MARKET STEADY AMID SEASONAL FESTIVITIES!

In Penticton, we SOLD 6 properties this past week, which is a decrease from the 12 sales the previous week, but an increase from the 2 sales during the same period last year. The highest-priced transaction was a single-family home on the south side of Penticton, which sold for over $850,000. The average negotiated sales price this past week was 98% of the listing price, with only one of the six properties selling at or above its listing price. For the first time in over a year, inventory levels in the city are lower compared to the previous year. We currently have 378 properties (of all types) listed for sale in the city, compared to 381 homes available in December 2023—a slight decrease of 1% in available inventory. At this moment, buyers continue to have a small edge in the housing market here in Penticton.
