Monday Market Report December 28 – January 3, 2021

HAPPY NEW YEAR! WELL, IT WAS PRETTY MUCH ASSURED THAT WE WOULD HAVE OUR SECOND QUIET WEEK OVER THE HOLIDAY SEASON!..AND IT WAS!

In total, only 9 homes sold this past week. That’s 2 less doors versus the week prior when we sold 11 homes. The TOTAL value of these 9 home purchases was just over $2.9 million dollars compared to 5.4 million the week prior. The highest priced sale was a full-duplex on the North side of Penticton which sold for more than $700,000 dollars. The difference between the listing price and actual sales price for the week ended up at 98%, which is on par with last week’s sales ratio. Today’s market is still tilted towards “SELLERS” at this period in time. 2020 has turned out to be a banner year for home sales in Penticton! In fact, we have already sold more than 1,025 doors this year, which will be an increase at minimum of 24% (828 homes sold) over 2019. Here’s a breakdown of sales by type of property for this past week (Dec. 28th to Jan.3rd)
