A NEW MONTH BRINGS ANOTHER SOLID START FOR HOME SALES IN THE PENTICTON MARKET!
In total, we had 23 homes change hands this week, down 12 sales from the week prior. The TOTAL value of these 23 purchases was just over $10 million dollars compared to $22 million the week prior. The highest priced sale was a single family home in the Wiltse/Valleyview area of Penticton which sold for more than $1,000,000 dollars. The difference between the listing price and actual sales price for the week ended up at 98%, two percentage points higher than last week’s sales ratio of 96%. 11 of the 23 homes sold this past week were sold AT OR ABOVE their asking price. Today’s housing market is HEAVILY tilted towards SELLERS as there continues to be a tremendous amount of DEMAND in the marketplace, with very little SUPPLY.
