Monday Market Report January 13, 2025 – January 19, 2025

     PENTICTON HOME SALES MAINTAIN STEADY MOMENTUM, REFLECTING HEALTHY MARKET STABILITY!

In Penticton, we sold 12 properties this past week, this is UP 6 sales from the previous week (6), and up 8 sales during the same period last year (4). The highest-priced transaction was a single-family home on the south side of Penticton, which sold for more than $800,000. The average negotiated sales price this past week was 98% of the listing price, with not one of the six properties selling at or above its listing price. For the fourth week in a row, inventory levels in the city are lower compared to the previous year. We currently have 360 properties (of all types) listed for sale in the city, compared to 406 homes available in January 2024 — a slight decrease of 11% in available inventory. At this moment, buyers continue to have a small edge in the housing market here in Penticton.
