Monday Market Report January 4 – January 10, 2021

THE HOLIDAY SEASON HAS COME TO AN END….AND BUYER’S ARE BACK DOWN TO BUSINESS!

In total, the first full week of January has seen another 20 homes sold, up 11 home sales from the week prior. The TOTAL value of these 20 purchases was just over $7.5 million dollars compared to 2.9 million the week prior. The highest priced sale was a single family home in the Naramata region which sold for $500,000 dollars. The difference between the listing price and actual sales price for the week ended up at 98%, which is on par with last week’s sales ratio. Today’s market is still tilted towards SELLERS at this period in time. There is a tremendous amount of DEMAND with very little Supply. 2020 turned out to be a BANNER year for home sales in Penticton! We sold 1,066 homes this year, which was an increase of 29% (828 homes sold) over 2019. AMAZING YEAR FOR SURE! Here’s a breakdown of sales by type of property for this past week (Jan. 4th to Jan.10th)
  • 7 Single Family Homes
  • 5 Condos
  • 4 Townhomes
  • 2 Half-Duplexes
  • 2 Building Lots
