Monday Market Report July 12 – July 18, 2021

A SOLID (AND PREDICATBLE) WEEK OF HOME SALES IN THE CITY OF PENTICTON!

In total we sold 30 properties in the Penticton region over the last 7 days, that’s an INCREASE of 5 home sales vs. the week prior, and up 4 sales vs. the same week in 2020. The TOTAL value of these 30 transactions was just over $19 million dollars compared to $13 million the week prior. The highest priced property to sell was a Single-Family Home in the Naramata region which sold for a price tag of more than $2.1 million dollars. The difference between the listing price and actual sales price for the week was 102% – certainly inflated by one home that sold for $246,000 over asking price. In total, 18 of the 30 homes sold this week were “AT OR OVER” the listing price. Sales volumes continue to stay “SEASONAL”, but the “Average Selling Price” tells me that SELLERS still control the sales process in this housing market!

Here’s a breakdown of sales by type of property for this past week (July 12 – July 18, 2021).
  • 1 Building Lot
  • 1 Half-Duplex
  • 1 Full Duplex
  • 2 Mobile Homes
  • 4 Townhomes
  • 8 Condos
  • 13 Single Family Homes
