Monday Market Report July 26 – August 1, 2021

A STEADY WEEK (AND MONTH) OF HOME SALES IN THE CITY OF PENTICTON!

The last week in July and we sold another 27 properties in the Penticton region, that’s on par with the week prior, and down 4 sales vs. the same week in July 2020. The TOTAL value of these 27 transactions was just over $16 million dollars compared to $17 million a week ago. The highest priced property to sell was a Single-Family Home on the North side of Penticton which had a price tag of more than $2.1 million dollars. The difference between the listing price and actual sales price for the week was 99%. In total, 13 of the 27 homes sold this week were “AT OR OVER” the listing price. Did you know we SOLD 114 homes in Penticton & Naramata in the month of July 2021? This is only DOWN 7 sales compared to July 2020 as sales volumes continue to stay “SEASONAL”, but the “Average Selling Price” tells me that SELLERS still have the upper hand in this housing market!
