A VERY SEASONAL BUT STEADY WEEK OF SALES IN THE CITY OF PENTICTON!
Another 21 “doors” changed hands this past week, down only 2 home sales vs. the week prior, but up 2 sales vs. the same week last year. The TOTAL value of these 21 transactions was just over $10 million dollars compared to $12 million the week prior. The highest priced property to sell was a Condo on the South side of Penticton which was bought for more than $800,000. The margin of difference between the listing price and actual sales price was negligible at 100%. In total, 11 of the 21 homes sold this week were “AT OR OVER” the listing price. I would say that sales volumes are now relatively “SEASONAL” but the “Average Selling Price” tells me that SELLERS still have the upper hand in this housing market!
Here’s a breakdown of sales by type of property for this past week (June 28 – July 4).- 1 Building Lot
- 2 Half Duplexes
- 2 Townhouses
- 8 Condos
- 8 Single Family Homes
