Monday Market Report May 11 – 17, 2020

ANOTHER solid week of sales in the world of PENTICTON REAL ESTATE! We’re definitely not in a typical spring selling season, BUT CERTAINLY MORE ROBUST THAN APRIL!  In total, 17 doors sold in the past seven days, which is FOUR more than the prior week. The TOTAL value of these 17 purchases was just over $7.6 million dollars, or $900,000 MORE ($6.7 million) vs. the week before. The highest priced sale was a Single Family home in the Naramata region which sold for more than $950,000. The difference between listing price and actual sales price for the week ended up at 97% of ASKING PRICE. To put this into perspective, the week before the listing price vs. actual sales price was 93% – WOW! My key indicators still show the Penticton housing market favouring “BUYERS” for the first time since December 2018.
