Monday Market Report May 4-10, 2020

A VERY WELCOMED “BOUNCE-BACK” FOR SALES IN THE WORLD OF PENTICTON REAL ESTATE!  In total, 13 homes sold in the past seven days, which is ELEVEN more homes sold vs. the prior week. The TOTAL value of these 13 purchases was just over $6.7 million dollars, or $6.2 million MORE ($500,000 in sales) vs. the week before. The highest priced sale was a Single Family home in the Columbia/Duncan neighbourhood which sold for more than $1,300,000. There was a HUGE difference between listing price and actual sales price for the week – it ended up at 93% of ASKING PRICE – WOW! It’s too early to call this a TREND, but it certainly has caught my attention. My key indicators show the Penticton housing market favouring “BUYERS” for the first time since December 2018! Here’s the breakdown of sales by property “type” for this past week (May 4th to May 10th)
