COULD THE HOLIDAY SEASON BE UPON US ALREADY?

JUST 5 properties SOLD in PENTICTON this past week. That’s DOWN 7 sales (12) from one week ago, and DOWN a WHOPPING 10 sales (15) for the same time period one year ago. The highest priced transaction was a Single-Family home that sold in the Wiltse/Valleyview neighbourhood for more than $950,000 The difference between the average listing price and the ACTUAL negotiated sales price this past week ended up at 97% with NO properties selling OVER there stated listing price. Our current inventory levels in the City of Penticton hover around 404 homes (of all types) “For Sale” right now compared to 300 homes this time last year – that’s an increase in inventory year over year of +35%. Buyer’s are still FIRMLY in control of the marketplace at this point in time!
