Monday Market Report November 30 – December 8, 2020

THE FIRST FULL WEEK OF DECEMBER IS OFF TO A SOLID START FOR SALES!

In total, we closed another 31 doors over the past seven days, which is just a slight decrease of 2 sales vs. the week prior. The TOTAL value of these 31 home purchases was just over $16 million dollars, UP about $1 million dollars vs. the week before. The highest priced sale was a single family home in the Carmi area which sold for more than $1.6 million dollars. The difference between the listing price and actual sales price for the week stayed strong at 99%. The year to date average has been very consistent hovering around 98%. We are still very much locked into a “SELLERS” market with a lot of buyer “DEMAND” and not very much seller “SUPPLY”. 2020 is turning out to be a BANNER year for sales! In fact, we are POISED to break 1,000 doors sold in Penticton this year, which will be an increase of 21% (828 homes sold) over 2019.

Here’s a breakdown of sales by property “type” for this past week (Nov 30th to Dec 8th)
  • 1 Mobile Home
  • 1 Lot
  • 1 Full-Duplex
  • 2 Half-Duplexes
  • 6 Townhomes
  • 8 Condos
  • 12 Single Family Homes
