A VERY SLOW WEEK OF HOME SALES IN PENTICTON!
JUST 7 properties SOLD in PENTICTON this past week. That’s DOWN a WHOPPING 10 sales (17) from the previous week, and DOWN 10 sales (17) for the same time period one year ago. The highest priced transaction was a Full Duplex that sold on the North side of Penticton for more than $1 million dollars. The difference between the average listing price and the ACTUAL negotiated sales price this past week ended up at 97%. This tells me that there are home sales being negotiated well off their intended target price. Our current inventory levels in the City of Penticton hover around 445+ homes (of all types) “For Sale” right now compared to 310 homes this time last year – that’s an increase in inventory year over year of +44%. Buyer’s are certainly in control of the marketplace right now.SALES by property type for the 7 properties SOLD this past week (Oct. 23 – Oct. 29). Breakdown is as follows:
- 1 Condo
- 1 Full Duplex
- 5 Single Family Homes
- 1 Lot
- 2 Full Duplexes
- 3 Half-Duplexes
