   BACK TO SCHOOL WEEK = SLOW GOING FOR PENTICTON HOME SALES AS WE BEGIN SEPTEMBER!

WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL! Only 10 properties in PENTICTON were sold this past week. That’s DOWN 3 sales from a week ago (when we sold 13 homes), and DOWN 1 property sale (11) for the same time period one year ago. The highest priced transaction was a Single-Family Home on the West Bench of Penticton which sold for more than $1.4 Million Dollars. The difference between the average listing price and the ACTUAL negotiated sales price this past week ended up at 98%, with 3 of the 10 properties selling at or over their stated listing price. Inventory levels in the City of Penticton continue to be advantageous for BUYER’S! We have 540 properties (of all types) “For Sale” right now in the city compared to 418 homes this time last year – that’s an increase in available inventory of +29% year over year. Buyer’s (at this moment in time) have a decided advantage in today’s real estate marketplace.
