Monday Market Report September 20 – September 26, 2021

A BIT OF A DIP IN PENTICTON HOME SALES THIS PAST WEEK.

In total, another 29 homes changed hands this past week in the Penticton region, that’s DOWN 6 properties (35) from the week prior, and DOWN 17 sales (46) for the same week one year ago. The TOTAL sales value of these 29 purchases was just over $21 million compared to $17 million the week prior. The highest priced sale was a Single-Family Home in the South area of Penticton which had a “SOLD” price tag of more than $4.1 million dollars. The difference between the listing price and actual negotiated sales price for the week was 99%. 12 of the 29 homes sold this week were “AT OR OVER” the listing price. Sales volumes continue to stay relatively “HIGH” for the end of September, and the “Average Selling Price” tells me that SELLERS are still very much in control of this housing market.

Here is the breakdown by property type for this past week (Sept. 20 – Sept. 26)
  • 1 Half Duplex
  • 1 Fourplex
  • 2 Building Lots
  • 3 Mobile Homes
  • 3 Town Homes
  • 3 Full Duplexes
  • 4 Condos
  • 12 Single Family Homes
