Monday Market Report September 27 – October 3, 2021

STEADY WE GO THROUGH THE MONTH OF SEPTEMEBER!

In total, another 26 homes changed hands this past week in the Penticton region, that’s DOWN 3 properties (29) from the week prior, and DOWN 4 sales (30) for the same week one year ago. The TOTAL sales value of these 26 purchases was just over $18 million compared to $21 million the week prior. The highest priced sale was an Acreage in Naramata which had a “SOLD” price tag of more than $2.8 million dollars. The difference between the listing price and actual negotiated sales price for the week was 99%. 14 of the 26 homes sold this week were “AT OR OVER” the listing price. Did you know we SOLD 129 homes in Penticton & Naramata in the month of September? This is DOWN 41 sales compared to September 2020. Sales volumes continue to stay relatively buoyant, but the “Average Selling Price” still tells me that SELLERS are still very much in control of this housing market!
