Monday Market Report July 15 – July 21, 2019
ANOTHER BIG, BIG WEEK FOR HOME SALES IN PENTICTON! In total, 28 homes changes hands this past week. That makes 55 homes in two weeks, and one of the strongest two-week stretches we’ve had all year! The total retail value of these 28 transactions was just over $11.8 million dollars, compared to $11.3 million the prior week. The highest priced sale was an acreage in the Naramata region which sold for more than $1,200,000. The variance between list price and actual sales price was 98% this week….this is the first time all year that we’ve broken 97%. Partly due to the fact that Home Seller’s have needed to sharpen their pencils and in many cases reduce their home prices to more realistic levels that reflect our current sales market trend (Buyer’s Market). It really is a great time to be buying a home in the South Okanagan!
