A NICE LITTLE SURGE IN HOUSING SALES AS WE CLOSE IN ON THE END OF AUGUST! After a little slowdown in the market a couple weeks ago, we bounced back nicely with 24 homes changing ownership this past week compared to 19 sales from the week prior. In total, we have sold 75 homes in Penticton for the month of August. Total retail value for these 24 transactions was just over $11 million dollars, compared to $8.5 million the prior week. The highest priced transaction was a home in the Naramata region which sold for more than $840,000 dollars. The variance between list and sales price continues to stay locked-in at 97%. Seller’s have sharpened their pencils to more realistic levels reflecting our current market conditions.
